Background: The presence of pathogenic microorganisms in aviculture threatens the health of fowl and humans. Thyme (Zataria multiflora Boiss), sweet marjoram (Origanum majorana), savory (Satureja hortensis) and eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globules) are Iranian herbal medicines that are used in folk medicines.
