Puissances de l’insignifiance. La politisation du quotidien au cinéma

In this paper, I shall examine three of the main ways of conceiving the politicization of everyday life in cinema: the poetics of gestus, the reversal of the logic of meaning, and the search for a proper power of insignificance. Each proposition will first be discussed on a theoretical level, then exemplified and extended by brief analyses of film sequences. The purpose is to measure how a regime of experience which is usually considered insignificant can welcome a political stance, by the means of cinema
