A través del género Carduus, el cual presenta especies nativas y especies presuntamente introducidas utilizamos aproximaciones basada en nichos, concretamente hipótesis de conservación del nicho y modelos de distribución de especies, para evaluar cómo los rangos de distribución y el origen biogeográfico puede condicionar la respuesta al cambio climático.
