El desarrollo de técnicas para la localización de fallas se ha vuelto una gran necesidad para los operadores de energía eléctrica, debido a que con esto se logra atender las contingencias en el menor tiempo posible y evitar interrupciones en el servicio o daños permanentes en equipos. Es así como de acuerdo con las necesidades actuales y a las más recientes investigaciones, se desarrolla este proyecto en el cual se plantea la adaptabilidad de un algoritmo de detección de fallas con ondas viajeras, el desarrollo de una interfaz gráfica para ingreso y visualización de parámetros y una validación de la metodología utilizada.
