The purpose of this study is to determine if the African American Cultural Center is meeting their mission statement, examine the relationship between students/community and the center and imply what these results says about African American activism on and off campus. Activism is one of the factors that have enlarged the status of African Americans all around the world. In addition, activism on campuses shines through due to cultural centers for minority students. However, due to the increase of individualistic wants and capitalism, many are asking the question, ???What has happened to activism???? These answers linger everywhere and inside the African American Cultural Center on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign...
