Introduction: The practice of music therapy to improve physical and mental welfare is used since ancient times. This reaction becomes a valued instrument in taking care of patients, in hospital environments, becoming decisive in Intensive Care Units. Objective: The aim of this study is to clarify the importance of music therapy in intensive care patients. Material and Methods: A systematic review of the literature by mobilizing the descriptors “Music Therapy”, “Critical Patients” and “Nursing care”, use the method peak.
