Legal Design aims to engage students in the application of Design Thinking techniques to legal challenges, in order to make legal products and services more human-centred, usable and efficient. The goal of this elective module (Master of Laws) is to narrow the gap between the law and the user. Throughout the design of the course, the following features are considered key: (1) training by a multidisciplinary team of lecturers, (2) working with real-life challenges from the legal industry, (3) engaging with all stakeholders involved (co-creation), (4) encouraging societal commitment, and (5) stimulating a creative and entrepreneurial mindset
