The generalized characteristics of the spatial (3-D) Earth crust movements using data on GPS measurements were assessed in the region of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant applying the methodology of tensor analysis. Changes in the principal tectonic stresses were found using a trigonometric method. The new data on the generalized characteristics of the spatial Earth crust movements such as shifts in the directions of the axes of coordinates, the turn of block structure, relative linear and shear strains, changes in normal, tangential and principal tectonic stresses were calculated. The generalized relative strains may vary in the range between –0.012 · 10–6 and –0.760 · 10–6. Changes in stresses may vary in the range between –0.003 MPa and –0.05...
