Abstrak. Perencanaan sambungan baut pada pelat baja cold-formed (tipis) tidak dapat mengandalkan mekanisme friksi (AISI 2001). Di sisi lain mekanisme tumpu yang tergantung pada parameter diameter baut dan tebal pelat mengindikasikan tidak efisien-nya (boros) penggunaan baut mengingat minimnya tebal baja cold-formed sehingga mengakibatkan kegagalan terjadi pada daerah pelat. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan peningkatan kekuatan sambungan. Peningkatan kuat friksi yang sebelumnya diabaikan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan washer khusus (besar) dalam memperbesar bidang kontak friksi pada sambungan. Abstract.
