Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin dinleme üstbilişsel farkındalıkları ile dinlediğini anlama becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma, iki değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koyan ilişkisel tarama modeliyle oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmaya 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim döneminde Denizli iline bağlı çeşitli ortaokullarda okuyan 5. sınıf öğrencileri katılmıştır. Katılımcıların dinleme üstbilişsel farkındalık düzeylerinin belirlenmesi için Katrancı (2012) tarafından geliştirilen 3’lü Likert tipi ölçekten (ÜDAFÖ) yararlanılmıştır.
