This paper investigates the impact of the use of educational computer programme in the "Science and society" instruction on the level of knowledge of pupils with hearing impairment, using the experimental method of parallel groups. Better results were achieved with the group attending this type of classes, namely, group A, consisting of 32 pupils, in comparison with the traditional model of instruction realized with group B comprising 30 pupils. The benefits concern a higher level of knowledge acquisition as a whole (t=7,100; p=0, 0001), a higher level of comprehension (t=3,975; p=0, 0001) and application of knowledge (p=8,378; t=0, 0001).
