Introduction: Family planning can prevent more than 30% of maternal deaths and 10% of infant mortality if couples space pregnancies more than two years apart. Our study aimed to identify the determinants of the use of family planning services in the postpartum period in the Aplahoué-Djakotomey-Dogbo health zone in 2017 in Benin. Method: This cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study involved 480 women who gave birth in the last 12 months in the study area, selected by cluster sampling.
