International Tourism and Sustainable Development Challenges in Southern and Eastern Africa

The article discusses the role of international tourism and tourist companies in Eastern and Southern Africa in addressing sustainable development challenges such as hunger eradication, transition to affordable clean energy, climate change and ecosystem conservation. Facts and figures show that African companies that are developing their businesses within the framework of sustainable tourism can make a major contribution through their daily procedures to the challenges of biodiversity conservation, combating poaching and reforestation.
