This paper presents a review of DSTATCOM Topologies and power quality control Techniques. The used topologies are Three-phase Three-wire and Three-phase four-wire and control techniques are Instantaneous reactive power theory(IRP), Synchronous Reference Frame Theory(SRF), Model Predictive Control (MPC), Sliding mode control(SMC), Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy interface systems(ANFIS) and Artificial intelligence based controllers. These control techniques are used to mitigate the reactive power compensation, load balancing, Neutral current compensation, harmonics reduction and maintains the Total harmonic Distortion in IEEE519 standards.
