The study is devoted to understanding the role of mediatization processes at the present stage of globalization, one of the displays of which is forming the international humanitarian space. In most researches, the process of mediatization is considered exclusively as a modern phenomenon and in many cases is equated with digitalization of mass media. The authors consider that this process has been intrinsic for culture since its genesis. However, in modern conditions it has a certain specificity, to studying of which this article is devoted.
