The analysis of the range of changes in the strength σВ of spheroidal graphite cast iron (SGCI) is made. An analytical description of the range of variation σВ as a function for Brinell hardness HB is developed. It is shown that graphite inclusions in SGCI always reduce its σВ to a greater extent than HB in comparison with carbon steel. The result is intended to determine the guaranteed size and range of possible changes σВ in the casting of SGCI without destroying it
