The aim of the study was to analyse the perception and feelings of liberal midwives about dyspareunia. We were also interested in the screening and the treatment offered by midwives. To do this, we conducted 10 individual semi-directive interviews with liberal midwives in Isère, recruited on a voluntary basis by email. The midwives included in the study had to work in private practice in the Isère area. The results of this study showed that dyspareunia is not well sought after by midwives. Indeed, they generally fell powerless in the care they can offer, even if they know how to show empathy and listen attentively to the woman affected.
