Includes bibliographical references.On December 27, 1977, the government of Skokie, Illinois, hired Aaron Cushman & Associates public relations firm to develop and implement a program that would attract younger people into the village. The residents were apathetic to the problems the village was encountering. The firm decided that the best solution was to promote the positive aspects of the village. The campaign, Skokie Spirit, was a communications and marketing program under which all Skokie activities would be highlighted.
