Bibliography: pages 140-143.Sequences of interbedded conglomerates, sandstones, variegated mudstones, and minor limestone, previously mapped as Jurassic Morrison (?) Formation, are exposed along the east front of the Gunnison Plateau in central Utah. A thick stratigraphic section on the southeast corner of the plateau can be divided into two formations. The lower half of the section is characterized by red/gray variegated mudstones - containing limestone nodules, with lenses of red and gray sandstones, minor red conglomerates, and freshwater limestone.
