International audienceThis study aims to describe shared or specific molecular responses of different tissues in two lines of growing pigs divergently selected for residual feed intake (RFI), a measure of feed efficiency. Transcriptomics data were acquired in the longissimus muscle, liver and adipose tissues of two different anatomical locations, and analysed for the RFI line effect (n = 24 pigs per line). The most apparent effect of RFI divergence was seen in muscle, whereas subcutaneous adipose tissue was hardly affected. Molecular data were then analysed by bioinformatics and multidimensional statistics to unravel common biological processes across tissues and identify key genes participating in RFI difference.
