Efficient synthesis of N-substituted 1,3-thiazin-2-ones containing sulfonamide

B et al.Thiazinones containing sulfonamides are experiencing increased interest due to their importance in the design and development of new molecules of potential pharmaceutical interest. The synthesis of a series of new Nsubstituted 2H-1,3-thiazin-2-ones containing sulfonamide is described. The compounds were synthesized in good yields in a one-pot reaction starting from commercially available chlorosulfonyl isocyanate (CSI), 3chloro-1-propanethiol, and various primary and secondary aliphatic, aromatic or heteroaromatic amines. The structure of one of these compounds was established by X-ray crystallography. The compounds are being evaluated for their biological activity
