International audienceThe city of Tiwanaku (UNESCO World Heritage Center) is one of the largest pre-Hispanic urban centers in the Andes. Water management was central to the development of ancient civilizations. Until now, knowledge about the existence of a water network around the city of Tiwanaku is limited to hypotheses from surface and aerial observations.
