The topic of this review article is about some aspect of flow during alloy solidification and the corresponding research development that has been accomplished in the recent years to determine the features of such flows, which obey either linear or weakly nonlinear system of the relevant governing equations and the boundary conditions for the associated fluid mechanics and heat or mass transfer.
