Development of high specific power electrical machine is a key step in the journey toward more/all electric aircraft. Permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) are good candidates to achieve higher specific power and high efficiency. Progress in the development of advanced materials play a key role in enabling the future electrified aircrafts.
