The objective of this study is to look at some given theories and/or research on the use of Total Physical Response method for teaching listening skill. The discussion of the approach is focused on a Total Physical Response as the method should be used in teaching listening skill to young learners. The study found that total physical response is very suitable method for young learners because it can make them enjoy, fun, and absence of the stress in learning process. It is also very memorable. Teaching listening by using total physical response is one of active learning method will give positive impact to the success of teaching because it makes them enthusiastic by attending activities in TPR.
