This study utilized a descriptive, non-experimental, correlational research design. Non-probability purposive sampling was used to select pregnant and lactating mothers as respondents. An adopted-modified questionnaire was utilized to collect demographic data, prenatal beliefs, prenatal practice, postpartum beliefs and postpartum practice. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The study found out that, 1) Most of respondents were 18-39 years old, with husbands living with them, high school graduates, have a nuclear type of family, multiparous mothers, from Tagaytay City, professed Catholic faith and monthly income of below P10,000; 2) Most of the respondents agreed to a minimal extent in ...
