Learning styles of radiologic technology students of De La Salle - Health Sciences Campus during school year 2005-2006

The descriptive method of research was used involving 410 radiologic technology students as respondents of the study. Stratified random sampling was used. The researchers adopted the research questionnaire of Atendido in her doctoral dissertation entitled “Learning Styles in the Four Basic Tool Subjects of the Intermediate Pupils in the Division of Cavite”. Frequency count, percentage and Chi-square were statistical tools utilized. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Majority of the respondents were male and second year regular students; (2) Majority of the RT students are visual learners in terms of perceptual modalities, analytic learners in terms of information processing and extrovert learners in terms of personality patterns; (3) Year level is not associated with the perceptual modalities of the respondents. First year and third year students tend to be more analytic while second year and fourth year students are more global. First year and third year students tend to be more extrovert while second year and fourth year students are more introvert. (4) Gender is not associated with the perceptual modalities, information processing, and personality patterns of the students; (5) Student type is not associated with the perceptual modalities, information processing, and personality patterns of the students
