Perception regarding the use of ultrasound among pregnant women in selected barangays

The study used the descriptive research design which involves 112 pregnant women from barangays of Paliparan III, Sampaloc IV, Malagasang II-A, Malagasang II-B, Molino II, Molino III and Molino IV. the instrument was a self-made questionnaire. Purposive sampling was used and the statistical measures and used were frequency, mean percentage, standard deviation and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study concluded that, 1) majority of the respondents are ages 26 to 35 years old, with most number of respondents attained college education, with the family income of Php10,000 and below, in their first and second pregnancy and half are in their 13th to 27th week of pregnancy; 2) the respondents have a positive perception regarding the use of ultrasound among pregnant women; 3) there are no significant differences in the perception of pregnant women regarding the use of ultrasound regardless of age, monthly family income, educational attainment, number of pregnancy and age of gestation
