The study used a descriptive non-experimental method. Respondents of the study were the primigravida residing at the City of Dasmarinas, Cavite and were chosen using purposive sampling method. The research instrument used was adapted and modified from the unpublished undergraduate study of Hernandez, Angelo M., et al, (2012) entitled “Perception of First Time Teenage Mothers Regarding Newborn Screening of Their Child in Selected Barangays in Imus, Cavite”. Data was analysed using frequency and percentage distribution, mean, t-test, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
