Socio-demographic variables included age, gender, educational attainment, and monthly family income. It utilized correlational research design to meet the objectives of the study. Using quota sampling technique, the respondents of the study were 387 residents of selected five (5) barangays namely; Poblacion, San Antonio I, Salcedo II, San Rafael III, and Sta. Rosa I whose age ranges from 30 years old and above. This study used a self-made questionnaire to find out the level of awareness and preventive practices on hypertension among respondents. Data was analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test for independent means, ANOVA and Spearman’s Rho.
