A cross-sectional study design was implemented for this research. Using non-probability purposive sampling method, 306 first year medical students aged 18 to 30 were surveyed regarding their parent\u27s parenting style implemented on them during ages 6-12 years old and the student\u27s level of anxiety by using a modified parenting style questionnaire and Zung Self Anxiety Rating Scale respectively. Chi-square test was used to analyze the data. The results showed the levels of anxiety of first year medical students were not affected by parenting styles, caregiver and parental status
