Counting the bacterial colonies found on the learning management devices of Grade 12 Senior High School students from De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute - Special Health Sciences Senior High School

Learning management devices (LMDs) such as iPads were widely used nowadays. Some are used mainly for entertainment purposes only, but majority uses it for educational purposes. It is because universities are now using LMDs as a substitute for books and learning materials. This study therefore aimed at determining whether there is a presence of bacteria on the LMDs specifically of Grade 12 Senior High School students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute- Special Health Sciences Senior High School because they are in the medical field which makes them more prone to pathogenic bacteria. Gathering of data will be performed in DLSMHSI vicinity where Senior High School students have their classes. The detection if there is a presence of bacteria was performed in College of Humanities and Sciences Microbiology laboratory in DLSMHSI Dasmariñas, Cavite. Researchers undergone convenience and quota sampling where thirty individuals were selected based on their willingness to take part to the study. To test the presence of bacteria, researchers undergone a direct dry swabbing method where they streaked it on a blood agar as a culturing media and incubated it for 48 hours at 35-degree Celsius. After incubation, results showed that 76.66% of the samples were tested positive on bacterial presence
