This paper is an exposition about matrices over commutative rings. Concepts about the determinants, invertibility and other properties of matrices will also be included. Examples of these matrices will also be illustrated. The theorems used in this paper were taken from the article entitled Good Matrices: Matrices that Preserve Ideals . Other theorems used were taken from previous lectures about Linear Algebra. Proofs of these were given in detail
