This study aims to understand how infertility affects the marital relationship of a couple. By understanding such sensitive topic, it may help other couples who might experience or have experienced this in their lifetime. The researchers conducted a qualitative study using narrative analysis. Three married couples underwent interviews centered on the infertility situation and how it affected their marital relationship. Their responses were noted and cross analyzed to generate themes that answered each research questions. Findings showed that the marital relationship is expected to go through resentment most especially for the fertile partner.
