Out of the many different definitions of integration, what stood out the most was Bryan Rayâ\u27s definition. He stated that Integration is now understood as a sustained mutual interaction between settlers and the societies that receive them and it is a process that may last for many generations. It was the objective of this paper to discuss topics regarding immigration: to be more specific, Muslim immigration to France and Britain. It is also about multiculturalism versus assimilation policies. A comparison between the effectiveness of both approaches was done.
