Head Loss in pipes is always an important parameter to consider so that an estimation of energy loss within a closed conduit could be obtained. It is necessary for engineers to have this type of information as quick and accurate as possible to be used at their disposal. Three pipe setups made from different materials and composed of varying diameters of pipes were created to test the amount of head loss attributed to pipe friction. Experimental values of friction factor f were derived using the Darcy-Weisbach equation, as well as relative roughness values ks by means of the Colebrook equation. These frictional coefficients were then used to create design aids in the form of tables and graphs for easy access and interpretation for the users....
