A descriptive research design was used to describe the everyday problems that adolescents encounter with regards to their smoking behavior. Sixteen (16) adolescent respondents were used in the study. The respondents were composed of eight (8) males and eight (8) females coming from exclusive private schools in Metro Manila, selected through convenient sampling. Qualitative analysis was used to analyze the data gathered from the group interviews. An interview questionnaire composed of a number of open-ended questions was used for group interviews. Data gathered from group interviews went through content analysis and frequency count.
