The general objective of this thesis is to create an automated defective turret that has human detection capabilities even in low-light or nighttime conditions through the use of infrared technology. This project aims to promote the enhancement of the research and development of our country\u27s military technologies. Motion detection through Python and OpenCV will be used to detect human in the environment who will then become the turrets targets. The target detection should reach as far as 100 feet. The turret has both automatic and manual control capabilities. In automatic control, the turret targets the first human it detects and follows it on its own.
