Domestic wastewater in some parts of the Philippines is already being treated using oxidation ponds. Since this method costs less than other wastewater treatment methods. It is practical to pursue further studies for the development of this kind of treatment. A laboratory scale oxidation pond is designed and fabricated for this purpose. It is proven experimentally that this can be of help in the research for further development of actual oxidation ponds. It is evident from the results obtained that it is capable of reducing Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) & Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) concentrations.
