This study looks into the topic depression specifically on the point of view of the non-depressed spouse in a marriage. Numerous psychological studies that are conducted about depression and married life are focused on the depressed individual, which is why the researchers chose to focus on a different viewpoint for this study. They aim to uncover the impact of the depression on the family, the challenges experienced, and different coping mechanisms used by the non-depressed spouse.
