The study determined the different areas of parental involvement of Filipino fathers and mothers in relation to their child\u27s school related behavior. In study 1, a total of ten fathers and ten mothers were interviewed to establish the constructs for the survey questionnaires. The data gathered from the interview were analyzed qualitatively and the clusters formed for the fathers were preoccupied, mentor, dilettante, provider, open-minded and compassionate and the clusters for mothers were controlling, permissive, loving, and patronizing. These clusters were then used as basis for the factors in constructing items for the fathers\u27 and mothers\u27 involvement in their child\u27s school related-behaviors.
