Escherichia coli was isolated from students of De La Salle University. The isolates were studied for their antibiotic susceptibility patterns and the conjugative transferability of resistance to the following test antibiotics, namely: ampicillin, cephalothin, cotrimoxazole, gentamicin, kanamycin, and nalidixic acid.
