The objective of the present study was to develop a scale that would measure students\u27 academic procrastination. This paper includes a qualitative and a quantitative phase. The qualitative phase investigated on the situations and reasons that affect academic procrastination or the mamaya na habit among Filipino college students. The results of the qualitative phase were used as a basis for generating items to be included in the development of the General Academic Procrastination Scale. The quantitative phase was conducted to 500 college students from both public and private schools to identify the factors in which the initial items will load in to.
