The current design of jeepneys used for public transportation exposes its drivers to ergonomic risks and unnecessary tasks. Based from the needs analysis conducted by the group, the dimensions of the workplace are not measured according to the 5th-95th percentile of the driver\u27s population. It resulted to awkward driving postures which were identified in the RULA with scores of 3 and 4 for hands on steering wheel and hand on shifting gear, respectively. The action of reaching backward as evaluated from the task analysis was proven to be unnecessary and through biomechanics it was verified that it exceeds the allowable shoulder abduction of 30 degrees.
