Terrorism is considered as the contemporary threat to world peace, especially those perpetuated by Muslim fundamentalists, such as the Al Qaeda and its subgroups scattered in the Southeast Asian nations. Despite counter-terrorism efforts by the United States and its allies, terrorist attacks have become global and more frequent.
