The proposed program for the evaluation of the ultimate bearing capacity of shallow foundations was designed to meet the demands of the civil engineering profession, especially in the field of foundation engineering. The computations involved in the analysis of the bearing capacity require a huge amount of effort and patience because of its long and very tedious process. Also, the work required in interpolating between values for the properties of the soil can be reduced because of the existing database used by the program. It was also designed to serve as an alternative to existing software.
