Bulk sample of 2212 BSCCO was fabricated using conventional solid-state reaction technique. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals co-existence of 2201, 2212 and 2223 phases with a predominance of 2212 phase, indicating that the sample is more of a 2212 BSCCO superconductor. Electrical resistivity measurements as a function of temperature was made on the sample from 54K to 100K as it is immersed in varying low intensity fields: 0.0T, 0.03T, 0.05T, 0.07T, and 0.09T. The results showed a slight decrease in Tc from 81.3 (0.0T) to 79.29K (0.09T), and a broadening of transition width was also observed as the magnitude of the external magnetic field is increased from 0.0T to 0.09T.
