This paper presents a proposal to assess the degree of seismic damage and seismic vulnerability of the bridges in Oriental Mindoro particularly in the towns of Baco, Calapan, San Teodoro and Puerto Galera. The 21 bridges present in the said towns will be investigated: first, their degree of damage, then, their vulnerability to seismic effects. An inspection method proposed by Kazuhiko Kawashima (12) will be used by the proponent in evaluating the level of seismic vulnerability of bridges while in evaluating the degree of damage of the bridges, the combined efforts of the proponent and katahira and Engineers International (10) will be utilized.
