This study aims to determine the attitudes of male and female college students between the ages of 16-22 year old, living in an urban or rural area toward persons with AIDS who acquire the disease either through homosexual activities, prostitution, blood transfusion and intravenous drug-use. The sample included 320 college students, 160 representing the male population and the remaining 160 representing the female population coming from urban and rural areas. The subjects were chosen through convenience and quota sampling. A self-made survey questionnaire was used to measure the attitudes of college students toward persons with AIDS.
