One cannot ignore the fact that there is already quite an amount of Philippine novels in Englsih published nationally and internationally. There is also an amount of critical essays and studies written on these said novels, but how do critics usually approach these novels? What do they usually say when they approach a certain genre or work? The problem being presented in this situation is not the lack of critical studies on Philippine novels in English but rather of systematic inquiry on these said critical studies.
